WHERE DO WE TRAIN?

North Inch Park, Perth, Postcode for Sat Nav.   Link to the ‘where do we train’ page.  (Should this info be somewhere else too plus Map)

HOW LONG ARE THE SESSIONS?

Each session lasts an hour including warm up and cool down exercises and stretches.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

Wear layered clothing appropriate for the weather – this can include a t-shirt or sports top, and tracksuit bottoms or running leggings or shorts. Some exercises involve getting on the ground so be prepared to get dirty. Ensure you have a good pair of outdoor running shoes that are securely fastened.  Gloves are recommended in the winter as the ground, walls and benches can be wet and cold. Some people wear a lightweight base layer and a hat during the winter months. It is good to have something warm to put on after the sessions.

WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING?

Our instructors will supply any equipment required for the exercises. It is best not to bring any valuables to the class. We will provide ‘bins’ in which to put your outer layers and car keys before the session.

DO I NEED TO BRING WATER?

Water is provided for water breaks during the class so there is no need to bring a water bottle other than to have in your car for after the session.  It is important to be well hydrated before the session.

PLEASE NOTE:  Due to COVID-19 water bottles cannot be shared. Please bring your own water bottles for use during the session until we return to normal.

Do I need to be fit?

Not at all. Peak Performance Scotland is fully inclusive and no matter what your fitness level is you will always be included, joining the right fitness group that suits your ability.

What about bad weather?

It’s Scotland! The weather can change in a moment but we never let the weather stop us from training.  We train in the sun, rain, snow and wind and our instructors adapt their style of training to the elements to keep everyone safe. The weather never stops us from having fun and working hard all year round.

(In very extreme weather conditions, the session may be cancelled for safety reasons.  Prior notice will be given on our Facebook Page).

Is there a minimum or maximum age?

You need to be 16 years and over to take part in a Peak Performance Scotland Session. Our participants currently range in age from 18 to 67.  There is no age limit.

Do I need to check with a doctor before I go to a class?

You will need to complete and sign our health questionnaire before your first class or trial class. If you are pregnant you should check with your GP before starting any of our classes.

If you are injured, you should listen to your body and refrain from doing anything that causes any pain or discomfort.

Do I need to attend a fitness assessment before I start?

No.   We cater for all levels of fitness by dividing the class into ability groups. Our instructors will help you decide which ‘bib colour’ to start off in – until you get to know the exercises and before settling into your desired group.

Can I bring a friend?

Yes, your friend can participate in one free trial class.

Do I need to sign up to a long-term contact?

We believe in creating a community that want to be our members due to the service and sessions we have on offer. Your initial contract is just 2 months which gives you time to settle in and make a proper informed decision. After that, it’s a rolling one-month contract.

Can I change my membership type?

Yes. You can downgrade or upgrade your membership at any time just contact the Park Manager.

What if I get injured. Can I freeze my membership?

Yes. All PPS members can freeze from 1-3 months due to injury or illness. This will reduce your fee to the freeze rate with your payments returning to normal when the freeze has expired.

Can I transfer my membership to another person if I can’t use it anymore?

No, memberships are for personal use only and are non-transferable.

Can I cancel my membership at any time?

This shouldn’t happen! But should the situation arise we just require written notice or an email to PPS. Once we receive your notice we will reply with confirmation.
